Bi-State Battle at Highland Speedway.
Daryn and crew took on the Bi-State Battle Series this past Saturday night at the Highland Speedway. With 20 cars on hand tonight Daryn drew the front row outside of heat race # 2. Daryn quickly jumped to the lead and won his heat race. Daryn started 2nd row inside of the 25 lap feature, behind Rusty Schlenk, and Matt Bailey. On the start it was evident that the high side was the fast way around the track with the top 5 all running there. Daryn fell back a few spots trying to get to the high side as a the battle between Schlenk and Michael Kloos was taking shape, with Daryn following close behind in 3rd place. After a bobble by Schlenk coming off of turn 2, Daryn pounced on his opportunity to take 2nd place, sliding Schlenk in turn 3. Contact between the 2 was made in turn 4 with Schlenk spinning. On the restart Bailey got by Daryn with Daryn settling in 3rd of the caution filled event. Rain started falling with 10 laps to go giving Daryn a shot to try the bottom side groove. Daryn would finish 3rd tonight.
